Hospice Administrator

Summary: The Hospice Administrator has the authority from the governing body to perform her/his responsibilities for operating the agency. Responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and directing all activities and programs of the agency. Ensures appropriate standards of patient care and nursing practice are established and implemented, and are consistent with current nursing theory and regulatory requirements. Facilitates the provision of end of life care in a cost effective manner in the patient s residence. Must have demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel. Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with the community. Extensive knowledge of corporate business management including Federal and State laws and guidelines pertaining to Home Health Medicare and Medicaid and other payer sources. Demonstrates good communications and public relations skills.
Education : Be a registered nurse, licensed physician in the state of practice or have a Masters degree in health care or related field required.
Licenses/Certifications : Registered Nurse, have active/current licensure in state and CPR certification. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
Experience : At least two (2) years of experience in health care management preferably in Home Care.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
