SALARY:
The salary range for this position is $55,694.
69 to $90,333.
78 for Schedule A, and $55,694.
69 to $85,817.
10 for Schedule B.
For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range.
For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.
Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A.
Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.
The Judiciary offers a strong opportunity for growth.
Travel within the tri-county vicinage will be required.
This position may be reassigned to another county within the vicinage.
Should another position become available within the next five months of the closing date of this recruitment, the applicant pool from this posting may be used to fill additional positions.
REMOTE WORK:
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings.

Example of Duties Under the supervision of the Court Executive 1b (Ombudsman), Vicinage 15 Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties is seeking an organized self-starter and team player who possesses excellent administrative, written, and verbal communication skills, is attentive to detail, customer service oriented, and motivated.
This individual must be very empathetic with strong emotional intelligence.
This individual must be highly proficient in the latest technology.
This individual will be the face of the Ombudsman's Office in the Salem County Superior Court and will participate in the monitoring of the Vicinage 15 Self-Help Center via the DTEN.
This individual will engage in the following tasks including, but not limited to:
providing assistance to court users, offering referral information and/or answering questions about court forms, processes, procedures and the status of cases; recommend improvements in operating methods; establish working relationships with other state agencies or other outside organizations; address community organizations, public forums and/or professional groups; coordinate and participate in community outreach events by creating materials, correspondence, mass mailings, promoting events, and coordinating materials; develop manuals, guides, audio-visual aids or other materials; assist with the coordination and running of the Classroom to Courtroom Program, Court User Satisfaction Survey programs, and other committee functions.
Candidate will monitor and evaluate program performance in accordance with established policies/procedures; conduct quantitative or qualitative research, drafting reports and proposals; maintain, order and update informational materials posted in the Center and throughout the court complex; and, perform other related duties as required.
Candidate must develop strong relationships with judges, court executives, staff, and community contacts.
They will partner with the Ombudsman and division management on sensitive and/or confidential matters.
Requires the ability to work with angry, frustrated, or other upset individuals on highly sensitive matters.
Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in program development, program coordination, program analysis, program administration and/or administrative research.
Substitution:
Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.
An associate's degree and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
A master's degree may be substituted for one year of experience.
A law degree may be substituted for two years of experience.

Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service.
